This private reserve provides unique viewing opportunities of Central Andes species that are endemic to the area or extremely difficult to see elsewhere.
Some of the rare species found here are Yellow-eared Parrot, Indigo-winged Parrot, Indigo-capped Hummingbird, Tolima Dove, Lazuline Sabrewing, and Black-billed Mountain-Toucans.
Diego Espitia is an excellent birder who runs the reserve and can organize any kind of birding trip in the area.
